Here's a list of all her albums to date, well, at least all
the ones readily available in the US. You can click on the album or the
name of the album to get a list of all the tracks and most of the lyrics.
There's also the inevitable blurbabout what I think of the album, but you
really don't have to read that.
This is her earliest CD, well at least the earliest available in the US, though it wasn't widely available until after "Hourglass." I got my copy last Christmas and I like it alot. Every song is really good, well except maybe "Constant Lovers," but it's still okay.
This is the first CD I bought of hers and it was also the one that put her on the map, at least here in the US. I first heard of her on NPR's "Thistle and Shamrock." This is probably my second favorite of her CDs, and it's really great. I especially like "Annan Waters." I also like "Old Man Time," though really all of the songs are good, and I mean it this time.
The Poozies are "England's premiere all women folk band," though they're going to have to be the premiere folk band without Kate since she left the group late last year. While this isn't my absolute favorite album of her's, there's still alot of good music on this CD. My personal favorites are "The Maid of Llanwellyn" and "Ma Plaid."
Sleepless
If I had to pick only one of her CDs, I'd pick her next CD, whenever it comes out. If I could pick two, though, I'd probably pick this one as well. I like all of the songs on it, even "The Duke and The Tinker." For the most part, she seemed to have picked up right where she left off with "Hourglass" though this CD has a bit better sound too it, at least IMHO.
